Was je handen altijd met ongeparfumeerde zeep en spoel extreem goed af, maak ze daarna nat voordat je de kikker oppakt — kikkerhuid neemt chemicaliën direct op, dus zeepresten, handlotion of droge huid kunnen chemische brandwonden of toxiciteit veroorzaken. Houd sessies beperkt tot 10-15 minuten en zet de kikker terug als hij onrustig wordt. Hanteer nooit direct na het voeren.
